Some Sample Questions:

  1. What is the single best move you made to advance your career?
  2. How will new technologies and online publishing change the ground-rules?
  3. Should one update one's research agenda every 3 years or stay focused on long-term research problems?
  4. What makes a 'good' PhD student?
  5. Is the 'civil war' between US v European approaches healthy, or have both approaches strengths and weaknesses?
  6. Should one publish early & often, or less frequently and aim for impact?
  7. Is research impact synonymous with publishing in the 'top' journals?
